Bio of Dave Coyne aka DCLugi

Born across the pond and shuffled around the States as an Air Force brat, Dave Coyne has always been intrigued by human behavior. He eventually came to the conclusion that life is inherently humorous and most things are ripe for the comical picking. After numerous plays and short movies he decided to infect the web with his unique brand of cinematic offerings.

Utilizing his skills as an Actor, Writer and Director, he adopted the persona of DCLugi for his Productions and was delighted to find a worldwide audience of fans. His ascent to Internet fame occurred when he was inspired in the Spring of 2006 to do a spoof of the Feature Film "Snakes On A Plane" starring Samuel L. Jackson prior to its release. Dave decided to impersonate Bono in a tribute to the famed actor, wrote his own Lyrics to the song "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" by U2 and posted the Music Video on YouTube. The parody song titled "Someone Tell Sam Jackson He's My Bro" became a viral sensation and was posted on thousands of blogs and web sites around the world with viewers numbering in the millions.

The buzz about the film became an Internet phenomena and in the Pasadena Star News Mr. Jackson said, "My favorite thing is the song 'Someone Tell Sam Jackson He's My Bro'. I love that song. I walk around singing it all the time." According to TVGuide.com he told his legion of fans at the 2006 Comic-Can International that the song is his favorite fan tribute. The worldwide web publicity for the Film resulted in Mr. Coyne being invited by the Producers at New Line Cinema to the Hollywood Premiere. He was interviewed and included in the Documentary portion of the Extras on the best selling DVD that was released in January 2007.

Dave continues to Produce, Write, Direct and Star in his videos that are viewed by millions of his infected fans on the Internet. This global recognition resulted in the opportunity to work with media giant Turner Broadcasting Systems through their breakthrough comedy platform website SuperDeluxe.

In July 2009, his Management Team at WIPMG was delighted to announce that Mr. Coyne signed an agreement with ECHO BRIDGE ENTERTAINMENT for exclusive worldwide distribution of his video catalogue and production of new videos for a DVD. The deal includes development and distribution of a TV program to support promotion of the DCLugi "franchise" to infect a vast new audience with his humour.
